Fuck Raul, but I can’t believe somebody could be so far gone. I guess he want death. I just think the guy wants out of life and I can’t blame him, but he could have at least made an effort to get clean and make one last sober decision.
Things don’t look good so far. In my history of working in medicine – I have honestly seen more “clarity” “monments of lucidity” “monments of clarity”, even while intoxicated – compaired to other intoxiants (well not ALL) – other than alcohol. Alcohol (and this is just what I have seen & I am not an “expert”) – is either a HIGH, low, or melancholic (don’t care which way). This “interventionist” is one of the best I have seen so far in my career. Very direct. Well planned. Good composure.

I think when you grow up in the kind of environment he did…where you’re beat constantly…and told that crying is not an option…and you adopt those beliefs, then denial just becomes a part of your life. Accepting help and acknowledging your problem is a sign of “weakness” in his eyes, and weakness is not an option. His denial is not surprising to me….I just wonder how they got him to agree to be a part of this “documentary about addiction”
does anyone know how long it takes before you die of liver cirosis etc? I have been an alcoholic for over 10 years. Im 27 now and Ive lost everything. I wake up and start to hallucinate and shake and my head hurts so much its as if I can feel my braincells popping but as soon as I pour myself a few cups of vodka I feel “normal”. I am starting to notice bruises now on myself like Lawrence? does anyone know timeframes?
