Chris fought tooth and nail to recover, but just couldn’t recover. All it took was ONE DRINK to end his life-to make a fatal decision. GET TO A MEETING-CALL SOMEONE-DONT GIVE UP …
omg. I feel so bad for your loss. R.I.P Chris. YOu will be missed. I hope others see this and get the help they need. my heart goes out to you.
This is awful. I can’t imagine how that family feels, Chris was doing so well and his family was so loving and supportive.
I guess you can’t save everyone, and I truly wish you could. RIP Chris.
That’s a drag. Here’s to those who TRY.
Wow this was one of the best episodes I’ve seen and then to see that he killed himself just totally shocked the hell out of me. RIP dude.
Wow poor Shawn, and his family as well. That’s a real punch in the gut. Some people just have to have it for whatever reason. I guess Chris just couldn’t live with his pain. Some people just aren’t able to live long lives, I guess. What else can you say?
Unfortunate story…RIP chris and bless his family for their efforts…I think the deeper battle was that he was unhappy being gay and that his family didn’t accept him..alcohol was just his release from the bigger picture.
Damn Nigga’s is crazy. Keep it Gangsta Shawn..
@Hot80s: Have you ever noticed that people only say that someone tried if theyre successful? for some reason, nobody appreciates the efforts given, including you you ignorant f*ck, and only praise, appreciate or focus on the success; never the losses. the thing is, though, that the effort is what really matters. especially with addiction. there is no fixing an addiction, its a never ending battle, a constant effort to stay afloat. he gave everything he had to the effort to stay sober. every second is both a success and a failure, because while you may be clean one second, the next is not a given. it takes a LOOOOOONG time to be able to get over that hump. my grams has been sober for 40 years. she still battles her addiction.
Shawn I am so sorry for your loss. I watched the episode of Chris and your struggle with his addiction and was hopeful for his recovery. I was truly heartbroken and shocked to hear of his death. Please know that with his telling his story, that so many will be healed and helped. Again, my sincerest condolences to you and your family.
