A&E Intervention – Alyson Pt. 3
Alyson who was a White House intern and an award-winning student destroyed her life after meeting a boy in college. He showed her into the world of drugs and made her an addict. Alyson now lives at home with her parents and is a heavy user of morphine and crack. She also works hard to alienate herself from the people who love her, including her own mother and sister. Alyson takes painkillers from her dying father too.

lilmisse1234, I am “quick to judge”, as you say, because I am a 27 year old, physically disabled man who suffers from pain caused by my severe form of neuropathy. I’d be pissed if someone was stealing my medications which I need (as legally prescribed to me), stolen from me by someone who needed them to feed an “addiction” Alyson could have at least gone out, got a job, and paid for her addiction that way, rather than her stealing from her ill father. I have no sympathy for Alyson.
I’m sorry to hear about your health. However, like I said before, when an addict needs a fix, it’s not about who she’s hurting to get it, (and of course she’s hurtin ghim by stealing his meds) however if you do watch the end, he’s giving her fucking handfulls of the shit. If he was THAT worried about his stash that safe would be locked TIGHT, and he’d NEVER hand her a pill. You have every righ tot be pissed, someone is stealing from you, Im just saying don’t be so quick to judge.
And she didn’t need sympathy, she needed HELP.

Her parents seem pretty weak, I admit. They let her live there with them, they don’t seem harsh enough towards her for stealing their drugs, and what bothers me even more, is the interventionist’s ease of treatment towards her. The same guy was a complete jackass towards Allison, another girl who had serious issues in her life who lived alone and wasn’t taking advantage of her family.
Both girls needed help. However, Alyson stole, yet she wasn’t given any “tough” treatment. Alyson got off easy, and my comments reflect my anger towards her for what she did, and now towards the people who allowed her to be that way for so long. Along with my continued sympathies for the other girl, Allison, who was ambushed by her family and this same interventionist, rather than having received fair treatment of love, even if it is ignorant love nonetheless.
Well I gotta tell ya, I don’t konw what you’re taking, and belive me I got addcited to precribed meds that WERE legally prescribed to me, but if you were to have to stop for whatever reason cold turkey, and have to face the awful withdrawls, you may even do something stupid or illegal yourself. I know that I have. Im not proud and Im not saying it’s right, Im just saying that we do what we do. It’s an awful awful disease that you really have NO control over whatsoever.
